Preview: Control the Look & Feel

Use the workflow Preview to style the deal experience — chrome, theme, header/footer, item layout, content blocks — and test it on desktop, tablet, and mobile.

Preview is where you control how a deal looks and feels to the person filling it in, and test that it works before going live. Open it with the Preview button in the workflow builder at https://input.ziplineos.com.au. It's a live presentation editor: change a setting and the preview updates, then publish when it reads the way you want.

For the workflow vocabulary, see Order Workflows; for the other workflow-level tabs, see Workflow Settings, Publishing & Self-Registration.

Test on every device

A toolbar switches the preview between Desktop, Tablet, and Mobile. Because most applicants finish on a phone, check the experience at each size — long labels, multi-column layouts, and headers behave differently on a narrow screen.

Page chrome

Toggle the framing around the form to suit how it's embedded or shared:

  • Hide menu — drop the side navigation.
  • Hide breadcrumbs — remove the step trail.
  • Hide step header — remove the per-step heading.
  • Show "Powered by" — show or hide the platform credit.
  • Confetti on completion — a small celebration when the applicant finishes.

  • Theme — set the brand colours and fonts for the experience.
  • Header and Footer — add a custom header and footer (your own wording and styling) above and below the form.

How questions are laid out

Each item can control how its questions present:

  • Layoutstack (one column), 2-col, 3-col, or auto.
  • Borderless — drop the item's card border.
  • Render inline — fold the item into the surrounding flow rather than its own block.
  • One question at a time — step through questions individually instead of showing them all at once.
  • Hide title — suppress the item's heading.

Content blocks

Beyond the questions themselves, you can drop in presentation blocks to make the experience feel like a guided landing page rather than a bare form:

BlockUse it for
HeroA headline and intro at the top.
Trust SignalsReassurance — security, who you are, what happens next.
ChecklistWhat the applicant needs to hand before they start.
CTAA prominent call-to-action button.
Text BlockFree-form copy.
Divider / SpacerVisual breathing room between sections.

Test with a real creation source

Preview can create test deals as Web, Manual, or API so you can check source-aware behaviour — visibility rules that depend on how a deal was started (see Show, Hide & Require Questions with Rules) will only behave correctly when you test under the matching source.

Treat Preview as the last gate before publishing: walk the whole flow once on Mobile, with a Web test deal, to catch layout and conditional-logic issues the way a real self-registering applicant would hit them.

Things to keep in mind

  • Preview reflects presentation, not live deal data. Cross-form and system conditions still need a real deal to verify fully.
  • Styling changes ship on publish. Like any workflow change, look-and-feel updates reach new deals when you re-publish — see Workflow Settings & Publishing.
